The Department of Children and Families has about 2,200 employees who work to create financial security for families with children in accordance with applicable legislation. We actively work to develop and improve our working methods, our administration, and our IT support in the operations.

In the management staff within Children and Families, we support the department's management in leading and governing the operations. We create conditions for planning and follow-up of the entire department's assignments. As a business developer in the management staff of Children and Families, you will work to develop the department's processes for management and governance.

Business development, analysis, and internal collaboration
As a senior business developer in the management staff of Children and Families, you are responsible for driving and supporting customer-oriented business development that contributes to the realization of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's vision and business idea.

You operate at the departmental level and, in some areas, also at the agency level. You provide central support to the department head and management and are responsible for identifying development needs and translating them into concrete activities.

The position includes monitoring and being well-informed about current societal developments that are significant for the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and analyzing potential consequences for the operations based on this. The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, as a prospective employee, have a high level of security awareness and integrity.

  • has a university degree or equivalent experiences and qualifications
  • has several years of experience in the relevant area of operations and/or business development
  • has very good knowledge of change and development processes
  • has good knowledge of project management and various forms of collaboration

  • has the ability to create a useful network
  • can understand and analyze complex issues
  • brings innovative ideas and solutions that promote development
  • collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals
  • has good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

It is advantageous if you

  • have experience working in a large public organization
  • have experience in change management
  • have worked with governance and follow-up at a high level
  • have experience in management support work, preferably within government operations
  • have experience supporting management teams
  • have experience working with strategic development issues and security issues
  • have a systematic and meticulous working method.

1 position, permanent, full-time, with start date by agreement. A probationary period may be applicable.
